Employee Spotlight – Interview with Beth Turner
I am pleased to introduce you to Beth Turner. Beth is the newest member of the High Falls team and we are very excited to have her join us as a Client Service Associate (CSA).
You may have an opportunity to speak with Beth on the phone or meet her at one of our events, so we would like to provide you with some inside information to help you get to know her better.
What are your interests outside of work?
I enjoy spending quality time with my family. My parents live in Hornell and I go down there quite a bit to visit them. My husband, Steven, and I enjoy dining out. Two of our favorite restaurants in the city are Black & Blue and P.F. Chang’s. My health is very important to me, so I work out three times a week and make it a priority. Also, I am a greeter at Northridge Church in Greece, NY, and am very involved in the activities throughout the year.
Who has most influenced your personal life?
I would say that would be my parents, who were both self-employed. That’s how I acquired the work ethic I have today. I witnessed the passion, hard work, dedication and perseverance that they put forth every single day.
How do you define success?
I would say that if you are truly “HAPPY” that you are successful.
How did you meet your spouse?
I met Steven on the Match.Com® website. Our first date was at P.F. Chang’s restaurant. He asked me to marry him there two years later.
What are you most proud of?
I am very proud of my daughter, Kelsey, who graduated from Brockport College this past summer with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. She is now working at the University of Rochester.
What family traditions do you have around the holidays?
Every year I give a special ornament to my daughter, husband and parents. My daughter has a tree filled with the ornaments I have given to her since she was a baby.
What do you like about your new role here at High Falls?
Since day one, I have felt welcomed by the wonderful staff that works here. High Falls wants their employees to become successful by giving them the tools and training necessary to do so. It’s a great place to work and I am constantly telling people what a great company it is. Also, I look forward to working with and getting to know the clientele.
